On behalf of one of our international clients, RED global is on the lookout for an experienced Microsoft Azure DevOps cloud engineer (Azure WAF engineer) to join a project ASAP
Our client is looking for someone to be on site in Cracow 2 days per week for the duration of the project.
This is a long term project with fantastic extension opportunities.
Here is an overview of the main responsibilities of the project:
- Develop and maintain code libraries by executing the functional pattern lifecycle, including process design and documentation.
- Engineer solutions on the Azure platform utilizing Infrastructure as Code approaches, such as Terraform.
- Deliver engineering expertise to support the enhancement and uplift of the Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) program.
- Build and operate the Azure platform to facilitate seamless application deployments.
- Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage shared cloud services centrally provided, including IAM, networking, monitoring, operating systems, and container environments.
- Oversee Azure networking and connectivity components, such as ExpressRoute, DNS, IP allocation, traffic routing, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall
Here is an overview of the main skills required for the role:
- Proven expertise in engineering and enabling Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud network security principles and hands-on experience in security engineering.
- Skilled in deploying and managing both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings within Azure.
- Strong grasp of DevOps methodologies, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and tools.
- Experienced in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub workflows.
- Familiar with security and compliance frameworks, with practical understanding of Microsoft Sentinel or Defender tools
