Senior ABAP Developer - QM Specialist - Remote with occasional travel - Contract - 6 months - Full time

Are you a seasoned ABAP Developer with a passion for quality management and a knack for building robust SAP solutions? We're looking for a Senior ABAP Developer to join our central development team and play a key role in enhancing and supporting SAP Quality Management (QM) processes in a dynamic, regulated environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP solutions (RICEF-W) with a strong focus on SAP QM.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and support functionalities such as inspection lot processing, results recording, defect management, and quality notifications.
• Integrate SAP with external systems (e.g., MES, LIMS) using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and other technologies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing custom code for performance and maintainability.
• Contribute to SAP rollouts, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for QM-related processes.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and maintain technical documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 6-8+ years of ABAP development experience, including 3+ years in SAP QM.
• Strong understanding of SAP QM processes (inspection planning, results recording, non-conformance handling, etc.).
• Proficiency in ABAP (Reports, Enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms).
• Experience with integration techniques (IDoc/ALE, RFC, BAPI, OData).
• Skilled in debugging, performance tuning, and transport management.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, automotive, food & beverage) is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially QM in S/4.
• Exposure to Fiori/UI5 and SAP BTP.
• Familiarity with MM, PP, or PM modules.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and DevOps tools.
