We are currently looking for an experienced Test & Release Engineer for our client. Your main task will be the preparation, execution and automation of software and system releases as well as ensuring test quality in an international environment.
Tasks:
- Preparation and implementation of software and system releases
- Automation of release and packaging processes
- Analyzing requirements and defining suitable test strategies
- Creation and maintenance of test plans
- Expansion and maintenance of automated system tests
- Support of the test environment and measurement systems
- Creation of reports on test and release status
- Documentation of test and release processes
- Tracking and maintaining issues
- Collaboration with local and international teams for root cause analysis of errors
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in testing and release of systems
- Experience with agile development methods and continuous integration
- Knowledge of unit testing (e.g. with Visual Studio Unit Testing Framework)
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience in configuration and release management (e.g. Git)
- Working with issue tracking systems (e.g. Redmine)
- Experience in working with Python
- Clear and effective communication with local and distributed teams
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of software development (e.g. C#, C, C++, Java, MATLAB)
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQLite, MS SQL Server)
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Docker, Linux
- Experience with Windows as a development environment
- Knowledge of UML
- Experience in international project environments
Project details:
- Start: July 2025
- Duration: 6 months + option for extension
- Workload: 3-4 days per week
- Location: Remote + Munich
- Language: English (fluent), German an advantage
