RED Global turns 25!

Ah, the year 2000. The world was abuzz with Y2K prep (and then relief when it didn’t cause an apocalypse). Nokia’s 3310 was weighing down purses and pockets like a sturdy mobile-connected brick. The internet made otherworldly dial-up sounds every time you used it, and your CDs were safely tucked away in a helpful CD binder.

And so, in London, three ambitious men armed with nothing more than 3 phones, 3 desks, and a fax machine, came together to establish RED Commerce. An answer to the growing tech industry’s need for specialised SAP talent. We didn't know whether Destiny's Child would stay together, or whether there would be a second season of Big Brother, but we knew for sure that the world needed a better class of SAP recruitment agency.

A lot has changed since the year 2000, but we’re proud to say that RED Global didn’t go the way of the flip phones. We’re still here, offering game-changing tech recruitment for companies that want to hire tech talent that's second-to-none.

Leading the way to game-changing tech staffing


For 4 years after our founding, we worked hard, making bigger and bigger waves in the tech sector and earning a stellar reputation as a go-to SAP staffing agency. We've made steady strides ever since, reaching these exciting milestones:

Expansion and acquisition


In 2004, we were thrilled to begin expanding our physical footprint with a new office in Cologne. We'd made a name for ourselves as dependable technical recruiters that could pinpoint the right talent for EU firms that wanted top-tier tech professionals.

By 2005, our original founders went their way and we entered our first management buyout with Inflexion, a move that propelled our dedication to finding exceptional IT talent even further.

Industry accolades and more new offices


2010 and 2011 saw us hitting a strong stride. We were named one of the Best Companies to Work For by the Sunday Times 100 in 2010. In 2011, we expanded our staffing services to new countries with offices in New York, Munich, and Zurich. We also went through another management buyout in 2011, this time with Dunedin.

The industry awards just kept coming, and we were chuffed with each of them. From the beginning, we’d hired dedicated tech recruiters and worked hard to track down exceptionally well-qualified candidates, and it was satisfying to have our efforts acknowledged.

-  2015: RED Germany voted one of the Top Personal-Dienstleister by FOCUS-Spezial

-  2016: RED called one of the top 25 Most Socially Engaged Recruiters in EMEA by LinkedIn

-  2017: RED Germany awarded Headhunter of the Year for the Candidate Experience category

-  2018: Awarded Top Employer by TOP JOB

-  2018: Ranked 7th best tech staffing firm in the UK

-  2019: Ranked 5th best technology talent recruiter in the UK

-  2020: Ranked 3rd best tech recruiting firm in the UK

Tech expertise that just won't quit


But we didn't rest on our laurels. Instead, we kept innovating with a new CEO (Ross Eades joined as CEO in 2018),  and new technologies. In 2020 we began to focus on Business Applications, Data & Analytics, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Software Development.  This prompted our rebrand (hello RED Global) and website relaunch in 2021.

In 2022, AEA Investors signed a partnership deal with RED Global, fueling further expansion — to Berlin in 2023, Rotterdam and Warsaw in 2024.

The last quarter of a century has been a whirlwind of hard graft, expansion, and industry accolades. And we're not finished yet. We plan to continue as the recruitment services that savvy companies turn to when they need highly skilled professionals.

Today, we're 350 employees strong, each one committed to pairing forward-thinking companies with talented job seekers in software development, business applications, cloud and infrastructure, cyber security, data and analytics, and SAP.

We'll admit it — we're proud of the offices we've opened, the awards we've won, and the reputation for pitch-perfect talent acquisition we've built. But of all of the brilliant milestones we've hit in the past 25 years, we're most proud of the company culture we've created at RED Global. We’ve cultivated a culture that’s inclusive, hardworking yet fun, and deeply supportive, where collaboration thrives and every individual is empowered to succeed while feeling truly valued.
